Same as previous pencil sketch, colored in Photoshop. EDIT: changed the frill to be the smooth lambeosaurine type rather than the serrated saurolophine type, as per Barnum Brown's "mummy."
How long you need to do that art? It's great!
I love you artwork
Very good, i like it
One of the most beautiful Corythosaurs I have ever seen.
Great sense of volume and texture on this one.
The shading is amazing
Love the shadows and how you portraited its "beefiness". Great work
I dig it. excellent work!
Fantastic, not convinced by the background though, it does not match the traditional texture of the animal, but it's a detail and a personal taste.
Agreed. The background was an experiment, but I don't think it works very well.
I actually have a photo of a Corythosaurus mummy that, instead of having the serrated frill as you have drawn, actually has a smooth skin frill running along its spine. Overall this is a fantastic illustration and I really enjoy the beefy-ness of the animals; more along the lines of the hadrosaur mummies. If you were interested in the photo just let me know and I'd be happy to help.
I've amended my sketch to correct the frill.
Dang-- I think I've seen that photo, and I knew that the Lambeosaurine hadrosaurs had the continuous frill, but for some reason I was thinking of the Brachylophosaur mummy's serrated frill when I drew it. The dangers of not doing your homework carefully. Will have to go and revise. Thanks for the nice comments!
OOOOOOOOOO..... Very nice weight to this one! Dinosaurs were so cool. sigh...
